U13's to take on 2 leagues (August 11)
Due to the increase in numbers this year I've decided the u13's will run 2 teams; one in the Avon Youth League, and one in the Midsomer Norton League. The aim of this is simple; I want as many kids as possible to have the chance to play competitive matches week in, week out and so give everyone the chance to improve together.
The emphasis will be that we are one united squad of players just with 2 teams. All sounds good on paper, but it will mean more effort needed behind the scenes so we'll treat it as a trial to start off with and see how it pans out.
Good luck everyone

Stars in Cars (May 11)

As a celebration at the end of the season, the u12's went Karting at the Raceway in Avonmouth.
Congratulations to George (the new Lewis) Green who won the Grand Prix final with Harry (Shuey) Hankins in second and George (the chef!) Dancey in third. Well done to everyone for taking part; I hope you all enjoyed it!

Message from the coach (Jan 2011): Happy New Year to all. Hopefully a New Year will bring a change in the weather and at least a chance to get some games in. We've actually managed to play two games on consecutive weekends already this year, and amazingly that's the first time since the 12th September! Anyway the lads have put the long break behind them and have started well again, so let's hope we can keep it going and carry on improving. Due to the postponements we will now have fixtures right through the Easter break, so once again please let me know asap if anyone is away (as I am - I know, no commitment).

England u21 'Stars'
The u12's had a great night watching England u21's beat Uzbekestan 2-0. As stated on the Homepage, a massive thank you to the FA for supplying complimentary tickets.
End of season review (14/05/10)
Well that was hard work!
After the glory of promotion last year we were greeted into division B by the league relegating the bottom SIX teams from last year; to say this made our task difficult is a bit like saying that Drogba bloke's not bad. We also had to start the season without a couple of key players from last year so it was always going to be a tough one. I could now ramble on about the players remaining committed; about how they never let their heads go down etc, but to be honest if you've watched them this season it's easy to see all of these attributes in abundance. That, plus the way in which individuals have progressed, and in which the team has matured, is what makes my job so enjoyable (plus it gets me out of the house at weekends - only kidding Mand! X). So well done to everyone; let's work on taking the form we showed in the last few games forward into our first efforts at 11-a-side football, but don't forget, above all else keep on enjoying it! A special thanks to my back-up team - Nick, Steve and Phil - for all their efforts…well thanks to Nick anyway.

25/11/09 Latest notices:
12/12/09 - For a bit of Xmas fun I'm going to book 2 courts up at Goals in Brislington for a fun little tournament. So they'll be no training on Saturday 12th December, instead we'll meet up at the Goals centre at 10am for an hour.
19/12/09 - I'm actually away for the whole weekend, but there will be training as usual on the 19th with Steve and Phil (football's answer to Laurel and Hardy), and they will also take charge of the game on the 20th away at Warmley - best of luck.
See you soon - Keith
New 09/10 Season:
U11's Hooray, no more boring weekends with nothing to do (...sigh), it's footy time again! Some big-name fixtures this year as we find ourselves promoted to division B, but I know the team is eager to get going, and I know we'll continue our philosophy of enjoying ourselves and our football.
We continue as last year with training on Saturday mornings and the Hanham Minor League 7-a-side games on the small pitch on Sunday mornings.
I've saved the best news to last; I'm in the process of sorting out a brand new kit with our new u11 sponsor Avon Plant Repairs (plant servicing, sales, repairs and spares, and screed pump specialists). A big thank you to Ali Bush and co, and fingers crossed the new kit will be lucky for us both.
Thanks to everyone for the continued support, and remember freezing January mornings would not be the same without kids football!
